Virtual reality headsets are almost universally viewed as the next big thing

Despite the promise of VR, I’m far more excited about Microsoft’s HoloLens, an augmented reality headset that projects holograms into the world by tricking the eye.

While the first iteration of the HoloLens will almost certainly be both limited and expensive, the technology could very well redefine personal computing.
